From a performance of "Hey, Piano Bar Lady!" at Don't Tell Mama, NYC, Nov.18, 2010, a musical autobiography set in Manhattan in the '80s. Linn bought one of the first full-length fashion down coats to be made in New York and the coat caused a sensation. One day, just for fun, when someone asked her, as per usual, "Is that a down coat?" she answered "No, it's an up coat' , hence this jazzy little song.
